BEING MAN is a safe space for men—or anyone who identifies as male—to start letting go, feeling more, and understanding the pressure that comes with holding everything in while being expected to "be a man." The stigma around mental health and acting “macho” has been passed down through generations. Only in recent years have we been encouraged to speak up, before the silence swallows us whole. Throughout this blog, you’ll learn about me—my mental health, my struggles, and how, god damn it, I’ve managed to fight through and climb out of the bottomless pit of depression, anxiety, personality disorder, and my disabilities. I won’t be giving advice. But take what you want from my stories, and if they help, then great. These aren’t fables. They’re not fictional. This is life— my life. And at the end of the day, by starting somewhere, you can always better your own.
